ABSTRACT: The prevalence of trypanosomiasis in sheep is worldwide concern. It a hemoparasitic disease caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma (T) spp., andthe biological cycle transmission involves susceptible hosts and certain hematophagous flies, such as Tabanids Stomoxys. objective this study was to determine presence Trypanosomasp. (Ovisaries). Through an applied, descriptive-prospective-cross-sectional qualitative conducted between October 1, 2018, January 29, 2019, blood samples extracted from jugular vein were analyzed smear method using 2 Romanowsky staining techniques (Giemsa Diff-Quick). Animals studied ages 3 10 years, coming farms city Colimes (Ecuador). Of 100 sampled processed animals, (2%) positive for sp., constituting first report hemoparasite Ecuador, 1 case Babesia spp. (1%) 4 cases Anaplasma marginale (4%) also identified. However, none these presented symptomatology any hemotropic-parasitic disease. Subsequently, animals dewormed.The parasites wasconfirmedat site and,thus, could become serious animal health problem.
